Highly palatable forage oat
Savannah is a new semi-erect forage oat bred specifically for grazing, hay and silage production. One of the key features of Savannah is its prolific tillering ability, providing improved recovery from cutting or grazing and increased hay quality.
Savannah can grow in a wide range of regions and will perform best when in an irrigated or high rainfall environment.
- Resistance to most current strains of leaf rust
- Prolific tillering ability
- Late maturity
- Sowing rates should be 80-110kg/ha
- High total dry matter yields
Minimum 500mm rainfall per annum unless irrigated
