Tall fescue is a deep-rooted, robust and productive perennial grass. It is more persistent than perennial ryegrass and can tolerate water logging, salinity, Black Beetle attack (with the addition of MaxP® endophyte) and hot dry periods.
While slower to establish than perennial ryegrass, tall fescue is an excellent option where summer moisture stress may limit persistence or yield of perennial ryegrass.
Managed correctly, tall fescue provides a highly digestible, high quality feed which combines well in a mix with white clovers. The addition of MaxP® endophyte in Quantum II can further improve the production and persistence of tall fescue pastures, particularly where there is a possibility of Black Beetle infestations.
